remove 411.com

How to remove your 411 account

To remove your profile on 411.com / Whitepages and associated sites:

1. Go to Whitepages using your computer and click on “Remove from Directory” located in the footer.

If you already have an account, please log in and skip to step 4.

2. To create an account, you need to provide a valid email address

3. We’ll send you an email with a link to verify your email address.  Click the “Verify my email” link provided.

4. Once you verify your email you will then be taken to the “Opt-out of Whitepages” screen where you copy and paste the URL to the exact listing you wish to have removed.

(Each page has its own unique web address (URL). This is how your computer locates the web page that you are trying to find. An example of a URL is: http://www.whitepages.com/name/John-Doe/Seattle-WA/6u3wkef. To find the URL go to the top of your browser and look for the web address for the page you are on. Copy that line and paste it in the removal field)

5. After you have copied and pasted the URL to the exact listing you wish to have removed, you will be asked to verify the listing that you wish to remove.

6. You will have to also verify with the phone number that is listed on the listing in order to remove the information. If no phone number is present or you no longer have access to the phone number listed, please contact Customer Support.

Helpful Trick: Obfuscate your profile info.

Because most accounts and profiles at 411 cannot be removed, we suggest you login and change your account and profile information altogether.

Make sure you are logged in to your account on the site and click on the profile or options settings. Locate the fields with your personal info (email, name, address) and fill in generic, random information instead. If you can only select from several fields, change anything personally identifying. If possible, use a homepage/URL field or long text field (such as Description) and put this line in it: http://remove.org/removal-requested. This may encourage webmasters and admins to create an easier removal outlet.

Helpful Trick: Removing online data

Publicly visible text/images often aren’t properly removed even when you succeed in removing an account. Try editing or removing them manually before removing the account itself. If you’re unsure what happens to your tracks: this can be found mostly in the Terms of Service/Privacy Policy; otherwise you can always contact 411 and ask personally. By the way, removal requests don’t necessarily mean your data will actually be removed (e.g. due to legal obligations).

Helpful Trick: Remove third-party logins

If you signed up for 411 using a third-party login such as Facebook or Twitter, you probably want to revoke all access from 411. Click here to find out how.

There are people listed with my address and phone number that I have NO CLUE who they are and want them removed. Can I remove OTHER people from 411.com that I have NO association with? IF so, how do I do that? I found instruction to remove myself but not for other people ASSOCIATED with my address or name. So irritating that many vendors use your website information to send marketing materials; and very tired of receiving. A waste to the environment and trees in the rain forest. HELP!!!!!!!

Who give you permission to post our personal information online?? Why posting our privacy online without our permission?? NO ONE is respecting other’s privacy anymore?? Ridiculous!!!
I don’t know where/how to locate the URL like this:

I searched my phone number online at Google and found the info on white pages and 411.com. That’s the URL I have, but the site said the link I pasted there was invalid. It’s irritating!!

I removed my family’s profiles from Whitepages.com, but the same info is repeated on 411.com. There’s no way to control the profiles on 411.com, it just redirects me to pay for whitepages premium when i click on anything. Ugh, what a bunch of crap. I guess I just have to wait until their databases update.

The whole world doesnt need to know the full names of my entire family and a record of every city we’ve ever lived in. So creepy. I take my online privacy very seriously as i have a very rare surname and am the only person in the entire U.S. with my full name (first middle last). Oh how I wish I was born “James Smith” or something like that, lol.

I have submitted 9 requests to have my information removed from ALL of your databases yet, my request has been ignored and I have not received any feedback in lieu of an email. In accordance with your published privacy policy, I would like you to remove all of my data from your website and all affiliated websites to whom you supply data. I know my rights under your privacy policy and understand that there may be a reasonable delay in removing my records. I want all entries for me removed from your database.
