How to remove your Expedia account

In the account section, there is actually a link for ‘account closure’ ( https://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=acce ), but it doesn’t work. Eh? Going there, we read “You have attempted to use functionality for which you do not have access.” Then why create a fake removal option? 🙂

If this link keeps malfunctioning, perhaps try and send them a removal request using the webform (see below). Of course, choose ‘account questions or comments’.

Since the status of account removal is unclear, no black or white colour will be stamped on Expedia.

Reading pages on the web on the topic, it seems you will run into a giant organisation difficult to get in touch with (so-called ‘industrial people-farms’ focused on quantity – such as KPI’s instead of quality – such as a happy customer). E.g. check this one: https://expedia-com-reviews.measuredup.com/Complaint-Closing-Your-Account-with-Expedia-34748

Helpful Trick: Removing online data

Publicly visible text/images often aren’t properly removed even when you succeed in removing an account. Try editing or removing them manually before removing the account itself. If you’re unsure what happens to your tracks: this can be found mostly in the Terms of Service/Privacy Policy; otherwise you can always contact Expedia and ask personally. By the way, removal requests don’t necessarily mean your data will actually be removed (e.g. due to legal obligations).

Helpful Trick: Remove third-party logins

If you signed up for Expedia using a third-party login such as Facebook or Twitter, you probably want to revoke all access from Expedia. Click here to find out how.
