How to remove your Neopets account

Removing your account is easy, although the link isn’t easily found. From their FAQ:

If you decide that you would no longer like to play on the Neopets site, you can remove your account.

To do this, make sure you are logged into the account you wish to deactivate, and then visit the remove account page (https://www.neopets.com/remacct.phtml) and enter your password.

You can also submit a ticket to remove your account by clicking on the “Request Support” tab.

Helpful Trick: Removing online data

Publicly visible text/images often aren’t properly removed even when you succeed in removing an account. Try editing or removing them manually before removing the account itself. If you’re unsure what happens to your tracks: this can be found mostly in the Terms of Service/Privacy Policy; otherwise you can always contact Neopets and ask personally. By the way, removal requests don’t necessarily mean your data will actually be removed (e.g. due to legal obligations).
