How to remove your Rockstar Games Social Club account

It ought to be possible to delete your account, but last time we checked, the account removal link was unavailable.

From their FAQ:

To delete your Rockstar Games account, sign into your Social Club account, go to https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/profile/requestdeleteaccount.html, and follow the instructions on the page. If you are unable to log in to Social Club or you do not have access to your account, please email deleteaccount@RockstarGames.com from the same email account you used to join Social Club, include your Social Club nickname in the message and include “Delete Account” in the subject field.

Besides the -hopefully- temporal unavailable service, the link was hard to find. Greylisted for now.

Helpful Trick: Removing online data

Publicly visible text/images often aren’t properly removed even when you succeed in removing an account. Try editing or removing them manually before removing the account itself. If you’re unsure what happens to your tracks: this can be found mostly in the Terms of Service/Privacy Policy; otherwise you can always contact Rockstar Games Social Club and ask personally. By the way, removal requests don’t necessarily mean your data will actually be removed (e.g. due to legal obligations).

Helpful Trick: Remove third-party logins

If you signed up for Rockstar Games Social Club using a third-party login such as Facebook or Twitter, you probably want to revoke all access from Rockstar Games Social Club. Click here to find out how.
