How to remove your Taringa account

For detailed info how to deactivate (!) your account, follow these steps: https://www.taringa.net/comunidades/taringarespuestas/4982598/Como-eliminar-mi-cuenta-de-Taringa_.html (in Spanish).

However, in the PP you can read that actually all your data will be removed (=no deactivation) upon closure of your account: https://www.taringa.net/privacidad-de-datos/#cierre-de-una-cuenta

Conclusion: perhaps someone can clarify what will actually happen when removing an account. We tried ourselves and after deactivation we could simply log in again. So for the real deal, try anonymising and/or sending them a request (denuncias@taringa.net) to truly delete your data.

Helpful Trick: Removing online data

Publicly visible text/images often aren’t properly removed even when you succeed in removing an account. Try editing or removing them manually before removing the account itself. If you’re unsure what happens to your tracks: this can be found mostly in the Terms of Service/Privacy Policy; otherwise you can always contact Taringa and ask personally. By the way, removal requests don’t necessarily mean your data will actually be removed (e.g. due to legal obligations).

Helpful Trick: Remove third-party logins

If you signed up for Taringa using a third-party login such as Facebook or Twitter, you probably want to revoke all access from Taringa. Click here to find out how.
