How to remove your AOL account

Free members: be logged in on the site. Use the removal link. On that page, bottom right, it reads CANCEL: click it and follow the final steps.

Paying members: act the same way, otherwise read and follow: https://help.aol.com/help/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=ex&bbid=TSEBB_1273499895483&url=&stateId=1%201%20473446989&dialogID=2620914797&docTypeID=DT_AOLHOW_TO_1_1&externalId=219764&sliceId=1&rfId=&radios=False

Helpful Trick: Removing online data

Publicly visible text/images often aren’t properly removed even when you succeed in removing an account. Try editing or removing them manually before removing the account itself. If you’re unsure what happens to your tracks: this can be found mostly in the Terms of Service/Privacy Policy; otherwise you can always contact AOL and ask personally. By the way, removal requests don’t necessarily mean your data will actually be removed (e.g. due to legal obligations).

Helpful Trick: Remove third-party logins

If you signed up for AOL using a third-party login such as Facebook or Twitter, you probably want to revoke all access from AOL. Click here to find out how.
