How to remove your Merriam Webster account
From their FAQ, about account removal:
You can cancel your subscription by logging in to the My Account page and selecting the Cancel My Subscription option or by writing to Member Support: support@member.m-w.com.
Besides, from their PP: to correct, update, or remove personally identifiable information, please email us at privacy@m-w.com.
However, and as usual, you should note:
We retain your information for as long as necessary to permit us to use it for the purposes that we have communicated to you and comply with applicable law or regulations.
Helpful Trick: Removing online data
Publicly visible text/images often aren’t properly removed even when you succeed in removing an account. Try editing or removing them manually before removing the account itself. If you’re unsure what happens to your tracks: this can be found mostly in the Terms of Service/Privacy Policy; otherwise you can always contact Merriam Webster and ask personally. By the way, removal requests don’t necessarily mean your data will actually be removed (e.g. due to legal obligations).
Helpful Trick: Remove third-party logins
If you signed up for Merriam Webster using a third-party login such as Facebook or Twitter, you probably want to revoke all access from Merriam Webster. Click here to find out how.
